If you want to upload a different file, click Image, located directly under Scale on the right side of the screen.

From there, you can upload the file you want to work with.

Once you’ve set the scale, you can draw directly over your uploaded plan just like you would when working from the map.

Simply choose your material type, select the Fence Line Tool, and start laying out your fence. 📐

📐 Have one known measurement on your plan? Use it to calibrate your entire drawing.

Part 4 of 8: How to Calibrate the Scale in Elite Technique

After uploading your plan, click Draw a Reference Line and draw the line across a dimension where you already know the real-world measurement.

Elite Technique will show you how many inches the reference line measures on the uploaded image.

Then simply enter the actual measurement in feet and click Apply Scale. ✅

Now you have a calibrated plan ready for your fence drawing—all within the same Elite Technique Drawing Tool.

📐 Your plans are uploaded. Now it’s time to set the scale.

Part 3 of 8: Setting the Scale in Elite Technique

When an uploaded image doesn’t contain resolution information, Elite Technique will automatically ask you to establish the correct scale.

You can enter the measurement equivalent to 1 inch on the uploaded image, or use the calibration option to establish the scale from a known measurement.

Need to adjust it later? Simply click Scale on the right side of the Drawing Tool.

It’s another step toward taking your plans from uploaded document → scaled drawing → fence layout inside one streamlined workflow. 📄➡️📐➡️🏗️

Once you’re inside the Drawing Tool, head to the upper-right corner and hover over the multi-layer view icon.

Select Upload, choose your multi-page document or file, and hit Upload.

🚧 START A NEW FENCE FROM AN END POST — AND WATCH ELITE TECHNIQUE ADAPT.

Here’s one more way the Elite Technique drawing tool makes fence connections smarter.

Start drawing a second fence directly over an End Post on an existing fence, and Elite Technique automatically recognizes the new connection:

🔴 The existing End Post becomes a Corner Post 🟡
📐 Your new fence run extends from that connection
🔴 The End Post moves to the new end of the fence

The software adjusts the post types based on the fence you’re actually drawing — without making you manually correct them afterward.
