RetroFoam of East TN is a wall foam injection, spray foam, and loose-fill fiberglass insulation contractor serving the East Tn area and is looking to hire someone with true grit, a hard-working crew member who is eager to get dirty and learn new things. We are looking to train people from the first day until they learn how to lead the crew. We have multiple resources for helping this person learn and grow professionally.
This position can begin as a trainee installing insulation as part of a crew of 2 to 4 people insulating homes and buildings across the greater Knoxville and surrounding counties. No two days are the same on the crew, but you will play an integral role on the team performing a variety of tasks to help prep and clean up the spray or injection foam insulation install. You will be constantly moving, getting dirty, and crawling through uncomfortable crawl spaces and attics. This job is not for the faint of heart.
Compensation: $18 per hour ($820 per week) or more starting wage, plus potential weekly performance pay bonus with opportunity for growth depending on the applicant's ability to "think", display initiative, follow company directives, systems, and the applicant's ability to learn to perform basic level carpentry work. Employment type: part-time or full time Monday through Friday up to 44 hours per week, with minimal overtime is often available at paid at time and a half. After 90 days employee can be considered full time.

Insulation Installer Duties and Responsibilities
Prep and clean up for spray and injection foam insulation projects.
Remove and dispose of old insulation materials.
Working inside and outside in all weather conditions.
Other duties as assigned by the foreman.
Insulation Installer Skills and Qualifications
A valid Drivers License is required with independent transportation, no car pooling
Team player who goes above and beyond for the good of the team.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with the team.
Physical strength and stamina for performing labor-intensive tasks all day in
various weather conditions.
Strong attention to the small details.
Customer service focused while treating each home with the highest respect.
Strong work ethic with a hunger to quickly learn new skills.
Not afraid to be on ladders or crawling around in dirty, tight, and uncomfortable
spaces.
Reliable and dependable with a proven track record of attendance.
Insulation Installer Experience Requirements
No previous experience is required as an insulation installer since all training will
be performed on-site.
Work experience in the construction or home improvement industry is desired
(windows, roofing, carpentry, etc).

We are the local dealer and also have a Custom Home remodeling division.

Stable employment with working hours 7 or 8 am to 4 or 5 pm Monday through Friday the entire year.

This position provides the opportunity for stable work in an established, foam insulation locally owned business. We are looking for applicants who have experience in basic or entry-level carpentry for the repair and installation of drywall and various types of siding. We are looking for applicants who have the ability to work on a team with proven systems from start to finish. We work in Knox County and surrounding counties. We normally meet as a team of four at our office and ride to the job together in a company truck.

The company can supply all the necessary tools for this position as part of the compensation package. This position requires the ability to receive, deliver, and handle small quantities of building materials. Applicant must have the ability to work from ladders and scaffolding, and maneuver in tight places like crawl space and attic. This position requires higher-than-average mechanical skills and the willingness to follow directions of proven install systems.
