In the past 15 to 20 years it was standard to have an office (a small bedroom sized room w/o a closet) built into a house in the Meridian / Eagle / Boise area. Of course these spec home builders could not have known what a customer wanted to do with this "flex room". At JRS Home Solutions we are finding that a lot of customers now know what they want to use these rooms for. Our latest office upgrade was for the Reuser's in Meridian. This customer wanted to use this as a home office but also a craft room at the same time. The peninsula in the middle is truly flex space whether you are figuring out your taxes or doing scrapbooking. The uppers above the back and right side of the space have plenty of closed off storage space that can be as organized or disorganized as you want it to be. The open storage on the right was specifically designed around some craft baskets that the customer already had. The basket's fit her crafts really well and looked aesthetically pleasing out in the open, so we all agreed to keep them open. Electrical was raised up to be useful on top of the the beautiful 3cm granite countertops which were supplied by our trade partners over at Rock Bottom Granite. The entire backsplash is a cork board to easily pin up notes or photo's. The larger drawers are all flexible to hold hanging file folders or storage of larger items. The printer is on a roll out drawer to make it easier to service and the outlet to power up the printer is inside the cabinet so no unsightly cords need to be run in an awkward place. There is even a plug to charge a cellphone in the back side of one of the table legs. These cabinets were color and style matched off the existing kitchen cabinets, which are about 20 feet away. The flooring was an existing engineered floor that runs throughout most of the first floor. We didn't see any need to change it and add extra cost. We are seeking a highly organized and responsible office manager/office assistant to join our growing remodeling construction company. In this position, you will perform clerical tasks, answer phones, and work with the owner to follow up on issues and assist as needed. Ideal candidates would manage all accounts receivable/accounts payable and complete accurate profit and loss reports per job. Candidates must be able to take direction, work at a fast pace, and have a willingness to learn. We want someone who will speak up with ideas or possible solutions to the managing of the office and not simply identify them

Office Manager / Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

● Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain/organize files, and organize documents; photocopy, email, etc. as needed

Office Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

● Construction knowledge a plus, but we are willing to train the right person
● Prior experience handling office responsibilities, experience in customer service, or related field
● Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) QuickBooks, Google Docs, Buildertrend; scheduling appointments/updating calendars
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
● Willingness to learn and to grow with the company
