Still one of our favorite projects ever, our project in La Jolla, that we undertook at the start of Covid. That in itself is quite memorable!
This was a full home remodel, excluding the kitchen, although we did make a few tweaks here and there in the kitchen too.
These clients are the most special human beings, and they will be dear to our hearts always. They were thrilled with the remodel that turned out beyond beautifully, and besides being aesthetically pleasing, the result is a warm and cozy place that they love to come home to. What more can you ask for? ……. 💖

Happy Monday!

Let’s talk about grout selection. Grout might feel like a small insignificant decision, but it actually is a super important decision that can change the overall look 100%.

Our goal in a home is to create a sense of calm and serenity. To achieve this tonal look and feel, we always color match the grout to the tile as close as possible.

There are exceptions however, like when there are grooves/notches/divisions in the tile that you would like to show up, and in that instance, you would select a darker or lighter grout color.

The point is to select your grout color with intention, and not brush it off as an afterthought.

Shelley has been transforming interiors since 2000, and has personally had the exciting opportunity of overseeing the building of two of her very own family homes over the last 10 years, one in Australia and the other in San Diego. Shelley has a valued team of trusted and reliable tradespeople that she works with on a continued basis.

​Born in South Africa, Shelley has lived around the world - a key influence in the ever evolving eclectic, textural, cozy and delightful looks that she is known for. Inspired by her mother and grandmother, both exceptionally talented seamstresses, Shelley was creative from a young age, and has always had a love for decor, fashion and art. Shelley studied Interior Design and Fashion Design in South Africa, Australia and San Diego, and as a result has developed a passion for design from different cultures and eras. Shelley started out in the Fashion Design arena where she owned and operated her own business in South Africa for many years. After immigrating to San Diego, Shelley experienced a brief stint in the corporate world working for Nextel Communications. Whilst loving the company, after a few years, her creativity took over and she was drawn back into the design world but this time with Interiors.
