Porch garden update. If you live in s. Texas you know this time of year is HOT! Nothing to put in a magazine, and we will definitely upgrade for autumn days, but for now- basil, sage, and oregano (some mint) are being useful. Marigolds and peppers trying hard. Roses are becoming potpourri.

Starting to gather herbs for drying…experimenting with smells, in this jar lemon verbena, lemon balm, lemon grass, roses, marigolds, basil buds, comfrey sprigs…

So we've had Todd the Toad, Basil Bob, and then this weekend...
Pepper Pete Puckett (the praying mantis). He was on Olivia's bike and she realized it AFTER she took a round.
Mom and Olivia put it on the Moringa Tree. (Mom didn't have her phone out for that, but at the time, Pepper Pete was very happy with it's new living arrangements)
*Sorry I forgot to post until we were talking about Basil Bob tonight.
