Fall is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to get our outdoor spaces ready for the cooler weather. 🍂

We like to start by clearing away leaves and debris, which helps prevent mold and keeps things tidy. Giving the lawn a final mow and some attention now can set it up for a strong comeback in spring. We also make sure to cover or mulch delicate plants to protect them from frost.

A little work now can go a long way toward keeping everything healthy all year. Need help or advice for your yard this fall? Reach out—we’re here to help.

Sometimes, a heavy limb hanging over a roof or tangled in electrical lines can be a real worry.

We were called out to Duson to trim back large branches that stretched right above a house, dropped down over a shed, and brushed close to the electrical line. Each cut mattered, since the wood was heavy and the area tight. We focused on keeping everything safe for the house, outbuildings, and everyone nearby, then cleared away all the debris so nothing was left behind.

Seeing the space open up and hazards removed always feels rewarding. If you need help with tricky trees or branches, reach out any time.

A fresh layer of mulch in September can do wonders for garden beds as the weather shifts.

Adding mulch helps our soil stay healthy and retain moisture, even as temperatures start to cool down. It also gives our gardens a tidy, vibrant look that lasts through the fall.

We like to think of mulch as a simple way to prep for the next growing season while keeping everything looking sharp right now.

Thinking about a refresh? Reach out and let’s get your beds ready for fall.

Overgrown beds and tired plantings can make any yard feel neglected.

For this project in Lafayette, we removed old bushes, refreshed the mulch, laid wifi controlled irrigation, and installed metal borders to give the beds crisp lines. We also chose new red and pink shi shi camellias for pops of color and made the beds easier to care of. A custom mailbox feature with hardy plants and a metal edge rounded out the upgrades.

Now the space feels cleaner and more inviting, with less maintenance for the homeowner. Let’s talk about how small changes can make a big difference in your yard!

Native blooms can handle Lafayette heat. 🌼

Spotted bee balm is a great pick for Louisiana yards because it loves humidity and brings in pollinators. Once it gets established, it doesn’t need much water, which makes it a smart, low-fuss choice for sunny spots.

Louisiana yards can thrive in this humidity.

Spring and early summer are perfect for native plants that already know how to handle our heat, rain, and bugs. Banana plants, Louisiana irises, and purple coneflowers are all solid choices for a backyard that looks good and works with our climate. 🌿
