This Wayne County customer was experiencing receptacles with low voltage, some that had quit working. This overcrowded junction box was found in the attic. It's just short of a miracle that it didn't catch on fire. WKD cleaned up the wiring replaced one overpacked junction box with three. All receptacles repaired.

LED lighting is quickly becoming the standard for home owners and company's who want to lower their electrical bills and enjoy the maintenance free benefits that come with LED technology. This business in Romeo MI hired WKD to replace all of their old exterior lighting with new LED light fixtures and lamps.

WKD installed this panel mounted generator transfer lock for a customer in Oakland county. This kit allows the whole panel to be powered by your backup generator using an interlocking plate that allows the main breaker to be held in the off position while the generator is being used. This prevents the dangerous condition of back feeding the main power lines when the generator is running, which could lead to electrical shock of the utility workers trying to restore power. Combined with the power restored alarm will give piece of mind during a power outage.

Pulled this receptacle from a customers house in north Oakland County. Over the years they had plugged a 1500 watt space heater into this receptacle, but actually had it plugged into another when the circuit failed. Space heaters are the culprit of many house fires each year. This one was on a circuit with lights and a TV. Lucky for them the wire on the burnt receptacle came loose before the receptacle caught fire.
