There’s nothing better than helping someone get set up for more freedom and flexibility at home.

Brooke recently installed a dedicated RV plug for Anthony, giving him a safe, reliable way to power up and hit the road whenever he’s ready. No more extension cords, no more guesswork—just a clean, code-compliant setup done right.

This is one of those upgrades that seems simple, but makes a big difference in convenience and peace of mind. Whether it’s prepping for weekend trips or just having your RV ready to go at a moment’s notice, having the right setup matters.

And we’ve got to say—Brooke continues to impress. Great attitude, clean work, and taking care of our customers the way we expect every time.

If you’ve been thinking about adding an RV plug at your home, now’s a great time to get it checked off your list.

Give us a call or send us a message and we’ll take care of the rest.

That’s not how we operate.

At Take Charge Electric, we’re building a company where skilled electricians enjoy coming to work, take pride in their projects, and are respected for the skill they bring to the trade.

We’re a family-owned electrical contractor that believes in doing the right thing, working hard, and building a team that supports each other.

Pay & Benefits

• $45 – $55 per hour
• 401(k) with up to 4% match
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• 1 week paid vacation per year (after one year)
• Strong team culture and organized projects

Benefits begin after a 90-day probationary period.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Commercial electrical installations
• New construction and tenant improvement projects
• Installing panels, feeders, circuits, and lighting
• Reading and working from electrical plans
• Maintaining strong safety and quality standards
• Mentoring apprentices when needed
• Communicating clearly with the field team and office

Who We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you:

• Hold a Washington State EL01 Journeyman license
• Have strong commercial experience
• Take pride in clean, professional work
• Show up on time and communicate well
• Work well with a team
• Want to grow with a company that is improving every year

This Job Is NOT For

• Anyone without a WA EL01 license
• Electricians who prefer working alone with no teamwork
• Anyone who cuts corners on workmanship or safety

Ready to Join the Team?

If you're a licensed EL01 Journeyman Electrician looking for a company that respects your work and values your contribution, we’d love to talk.

Meet Brooke — Strengthening Our Service Team

Over the past few weeks, our community has experienced power outages, winter storms, and even a bit of snow. When weather like that rolls through, electrical issues tend to follow. That’s exactly why we’ve expanded our service team.

We’re excited to introduce Brooke, the newest Journeyman Electrician on our service call team here at Take Charge Electric.

Brooke brings strong field experience, a sharp troubleshooting mindset, and the kind of professionalism our customers appreciate when someone is working inside their home. She will be focused on helping homeowners quickly diagnose and resolve electrical issues — whether that’s troubleshooting a circuit, repairing a damaged outlet, addressing a panel concern, or helping after a storm-related problem.

Because of the recent weather and outages we’ve had, we know many homeowners are discovering electrical issues that didn’t show up until the power came back on. Our goal is to be ready when those situations pop up.

Right now we’re offering $100 off our diagnostic dispatch fee for service calls scheduled during March and April.

Electrical problems often start small — a breaker that trips occasionally, lights that flicker, or outlets that stop working. Getting them professionally evaluated early can prevent bigger and more expensive problems later.

With Brooke now on the team, we have more availability to help homeowners safely troubleshoot issues and get things back to normal.

If you experienced problems after the recent storms or outages, or if you have electrical repairs you’ve been meaning to take care of, give us a call! We’re here to help.

Homeowners Are Already Taking Advantage of Our $100 Off Electrical Diagnostic Special!

We’re only one week into our March and April special, and we’ve already had several homeowners reach out to have electrical issues checked out around their homes! From troubleshooting outlets and lighting problems to evaluating electrical panels, it’s been great helping neighbors get answers and solutions.

We want to say a sincere thank you to the homeowners who have already trusted Take Charge Electric to come out and take a look. We truly appreciate the opportunity to serve our community.

For a limited time, we are offering $100 off our dispatch and diagnostic fee throughout March and April.

That means a licensed electrician can come to your home, properly diagnose the issue, and give you clear recommendations on what needs to be done.

Electrical issues rarely fix themselves, and catching them early can often prevent bigger problems later.

If something electrical in your home has been acting up, now is a great time to get it checked out!

We’ll come out, evaluate the issue, identify the cause, and clearly explain your options — no pressure, just straightforward recommendations.

You’ll get:

Thank you to Barbara for having us out to take care of your panel upgrade! We truly appreciate the trust you placed in our team and the opportunity to improve the safety and reliability of your home.

Older panels simply weren’t designed to handle today’s electrical demand. With modern appliances, HVAC systems, EV chargers, hot tubs, and technology in nearly every room, an outdated panel can become overloaded, unsafe, and unreliable. Upgrading your panel protects your home, reduces fire risk, eliminates nuisance breaker trips, and creates room for future additions.

If you’re not completely confident your panel is keeping up with your home’s needs, we’d be happy to stop by, take a look, and give you clear, honest recommendations so you can make the best decision for your home!

When you work with Take Charge Electric, you’re getting licensed professionals who prioritize safety, clear communication, and long-term solutions — not quick fixes. We treat your home with respect and make sure you understand exactly what was done and why.

If your lights dim, breakers trip, or you’re planning to add new electrical equipment, it may be time to upgrade your panel! Give us a call, we'd love to help!

When One Outlet Stops Working, It Might Not Be the Only One Affected

We were recently called out because an outlet sparked when it was used — and at the same time, the other outlets along that wall stopped working.

During our inspection, we found that the issue wasn’t isolated to just one device. Once we dug a little deeper, we discovered additional receptacles on that circuit had heat damage as well.

Sometimes an electrical issue shows up suddenly — like a spark or outlets losing power — but the underlying cause has often been building quietly over time.

Signs that can point to a larger issue include:
• A spark when plugging something in
• Multiple outlets on one wall suddenly losing power
• A faint burning plastic smell when appliances are running
• Warm or discolored receptacles
• Plugs that don’t fit tightly

Electrical systems are connected. What happens at one outlet can impact others on the same circuit.

If you’ve experienced a spark, lost power to part of a room, or noticed unusual smells or warmth around an outlet, we’re happy to inspect the full circuit — not just the visible problem.

Taking the time to investigate the entire circuit helps prevent repeat issues, protects your appliances, and ensures your home is operating safely and efficiently.

If something doesn’t seem right, don’t ignore it. Reach out to our office and we’ll help you get to the root of it!
