Most homeowners don't realize that excessive pruning, also known as "hurricane cuts", can harm palm trees. Removing healthy fronds reduces photosynthesis and limits the tree's ability to produce energy. This practice can also expose the palm stem to too much sun, and increase stress during heat and drought.

Proper palm pruning should focus on removing only dead, damaged, or hazardous fronds. In the end, the customer decides what they want, but we provide insight so they can make the most informed decision.
