We get a lot of calls for raccoons in the attic, or raccoons under the house. On this particular job, a home owner called us because they were hearing chittering noises in the attic. The chittering noises are distress calls made by baby raccoons calling for their mother. Unfortunately, the mother had abandoned her babies and they were dehydrated and starving. We removed the babies and handed them over to Project Wildlife-orphaned wildlife rehabilitation center in San Diego, CA. After removing the raccoons, we repaired the damaged roof where the raccoons were entering the attic. We also sanitized and de-odorized the entire attic! This involves removing contaminated insulation and raccoon p**p from the attic.
