Happy to make this repair and help out a new client with an upgraded electrical panel. We would have preferred this panel to be a bit more uniform, however the owner wanted it a bit lower to access everything easier.

Electricity and snow… perfect combo for a shocking day.

Ran out to a troubleshoot the other day installed by a company no longer in operations. We came across a PV system with a loose connection on the DC side. DC in this particular situation/instance only turns off when its its dark, causing this house to potentially catch fire. Luckily the equipment surrounding the arc prevented additional damage. Based on the age, this install met all code requirements at the time of install.

Walked into a mess today. My client said he paid a “licensed” electrical contractor to upgrade this panel, he said he paid $2700 for this replacement and now he’s got to pay for it again because it’s a fire hazard. .

Folks don’t be afraid to ask for a license and insurance, it’s also a red flag if they don’t want to pull a permit.
