A potential candidate must have the following:
A background in landscaping with verifiable experience in tree trimming and working at heights. Reliability (must show up to work every day on time) Adherence to company core values, policies and safety procedures. Be responsible and dependable with the ability to work without close supervision. Be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate with customers, co-workers, and supervisor. A Flexible schedule (willing to work long days, job permitting, and weekends as needed) Be willing and able to perform all groundsman duties and labors.
Duties:
Assume responsibility for the inspection and proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other work equipment. Working around hazardous equipment, providing safety assurance of all co-workers, customers, and private property. Assisting job foreman as second climber, and groundsman in completing all aspects of Tree Pruning, Removal, Stump Grinding, & Cleanup on residential and commercial properties. Repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal, as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects. Operation of Chippers, Trucks, Aerial Lifts, Chain Saws and special equipment. Most importantly must uphold the integrity and core values that THE TREE GUY holds as a company standard, we leave a job looking better than we arrived, at all times. We work hard until the job is done, with safety our top priority.
Qualifications and Skills
Must have valid drivers license with clean driving record. Skills Required:Experience climbing, trimming, pruning techniques and removing all variety of trees in close proximity to homes and swimming pools, and other structures. Knowledge of tree service safety standards.Experience dropping and lowering branches and trunk sections to the ground with lines. Proficient with climbing gear (proper knots, rigging and safe removal). Various chainsaw operation (climber saws to large removal saws) as well as safe and proper chipper use, powered trimmer lift truck operation, and stump grinder utilization.
