Save a seat for good company.

A favorite mug and an unhurried conversation can turn an ordinary evening into the part of the day you look forward
to. This seasonal styling inspiration begins with a real Armstrong covered deck; the original photograph is shown in
the inset.

Who would you invite to spend an evening out here?

What's one thing your current outdoor space is missing?

More room to sit? A covered spot? Somewhere to spend time together after dinner?

This screened lounge has seating gathered around a low table, with a wood ceiling overhead. It's a useful starting point for thinking about the kind of space you'd actually use.

Tell us what's on your wish list, or message Armstrong Construction if you'd rather talk through it privately.

The details shape how an outdoor space feels.

In this Armstrong deck photo, gray boards, contrasting edge trim and cable railing frame the seating area and backyard view. Our fall styling idea adds warm textiles and seasonal accents around those existing features.

Which detail would you put on your own deck wish list?

How much thought have you given your porch ceiling?

The light ceiling, exposed beams and dark fan make this one feel bright and simple. It's a detail you'll see every time you settle into a chair.

Put the ceiling finish, fan and lighting locations on your design list early.

For your porch, would you choose a light ceiling like this or the warmth of a wood finish?

The lights come on, and these steps get their own moment.

This raised deck has lights at the posts and along the stair risers. Those details are worth discussing while you're planning the layout, especially if you'll use the deck after dinner.

What would be highest on your deck wish list: lighting, room for a table, or more space to lounge?

What would you put under this pergola first?

A dining table, a couple of comfortable chairs, or room for your favorite plants?

The wood framing defines a spot on the deck while keeping it open overhead. It helps to decide how you want to use that space before choosing the furniture and layout.

Tell us what would make a spot like this feel like yours.
