New Direction Civil/Conduit crews have been working a very extensive job on North Ave in Baltimore City replacing an entire 400’ long existing duct back.
This includes carefully breaking off the old terracotta duct and replacing it with new PVC duct, then adding concrete for safety and protection.
This very intricate work occurs because of multiple failures of the existing infrastructure, leading to issues installing and/or replacing utilities in this section.

New Direction is now hiring competent persons for installer positions in the field of underground electric construction.
Employees are required to hold or acquire at least a restricted Class A CDL driver's license. NDU can assist in acquiring the license.
Employees must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
Most work is located in the Baltimore/Washington Metro area. Employees meet at our headquarters in Hagerstown, MD and carpool together, or can meet at our satellite facility in Sykesville, MD.
TRANSPORTATION IS PROVIDED for those carpooling from Hagerstown.
Employees must be available to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

New Direction Utilities, Inc. Underground Crews working a priority job on Sunday in Abingdon. One crew installed 4500’ of 35kV 750CU UG conductor crossing underneath I-95, and the other made 6x pole taps with 750CU for BGE UG Lines crews to terminate.
