So I got called to a customers house for a 1 inch lateral zone line leak.
Been in this industry 11 years and this one baffled me a little bit. Anyone have any ideas how this happened?

For context…this hasn’t been leaking. It JUST happened apparently. The pipe was ridged, it wasn’t bent into the coupling obviously. I also spent some extra time going through the dirt I dug out of the hole, and there were ZERO broken pieces of pipe or couplings of any size….just dirt. It’s fixed, but I’m still baffled lol.

(The valves aren’t leaking, I sprayed them with a hose to clean the dirt off of them) lol

Another SOLO irrigation install for the books. 3 days from start to finish.

Side note: the valves are wet because I sprayed them off with the hose so they weren’t dirty for the picture 😂 no they are not leaking.

Fixing a leak under a driveway with smaller pipe rather than re routing the zone around the front of the house and costing homeowner a lot of money. I was worried it would lose pressure but it was a small zone and could handle the slight pressure drop. Still had complete coverage to all turf and shrubs!
