Flying V Electric was called out to secure an electrical meter that had pulled away from the home. Evergy had tagged the meter during their recent meter replacement process, requiring the issue to be corrected.

Flying V Electric was able to rework the existing conduit and properly fasten the meter back to the home, ensuring the meter and electrical equipment were securely supported and helping prevent potential electrical issues.

Flying V Electric recently replaced a Federal Pacific breaker panel for a homeowner looking to improve the safety and reliability of their electrical system.

⚠️ Another hidden electrical hazard found ⚠️

Flying V Electric was called out to troubleshoot several non-working outlets after the homeowner reported hearing popping and sizzling noises whenever an appliance was plugged in.

During our inspection, we found an outlet with visible discoloration on the faceplate. After removing the outlet, we discovered severely burned wiring. Further investigation revealed that the outlet had been incorrectly wired during a previous installation, creating loose connections that led to excessive heat and electrical arcing.

This is a great reminder that even something as simple as replacing or wiring an outlet can become a serious fire hazard if it’s not done correctly.
