It’s all in the details. 🪵👀 Let’s talk about process.
When you’re making end tables this substantial, the woodworking must be precise. These two boards are end-grain panels, which means individual wood blocks were meticulously aligned and glued together before the final dimensioning.
Once the panels were perfect, the build focused on creating a seamless structure to show off that incredible checkerboard grain. Now that they are complete, I am excited to see the final result.

Just put the finishing touches on a board which is my new all time favorite board that I have ever made. This board is made from tiger wood and measures 24.5”x18.5”x2.75” - it’s a heavy beast I imagine every bit of 40 pounds.

Nothing kills a project faster than the "winter crack." 🛠️❄️
Wood is basically a giant sponge—if the shop air gets too dry, the wood shrinks, surfaces check, and joinery starts to pull apart. I’m finally leveling up the workshop environment with this high-capacity humidifier to keep the Relative Humidity stable.
The goal: Keep the moisture content consistent so the wood stays flat and the glue-ups stay tight. No more wasted lumber. 🪵✨

Even in the snow, the deliveries don't stop. I'm incredibly grateful to have this absolute necessity in the shop to help me unload and organize. It makes the heavy lifting look easy and keeps my production moving regardless of the weather.

🪵✨ New Year, New Website… Built the Only Way I Know How 😂🎉
As a woodworker, I’m used to building things from scratch — give me lumber, a plan, and some tools, and I know exactly what to do.
Websites, though?
Let's not forget that I traded IT for sawdust years ago.
So in true husband fashion, I handed my wife the most detailed instructions possible:
“Hey babe, Wix is too expensive. Can we ditch it and build one to upload to AWS?”
And somehow, with just Notepad, my wife at WebSpark Genesis crafted a website as clean as one of my joinery cuts — and trust me, that's a high praise coming from me.
