Today is not only a beautiful day but it’s finally the day to begin a countdown all over the world….with a very good friend and musical buddy….John Calvin…..one that I’ve been looking forward to for over two years. Yes friends and family and musicians…and the world….STARBOY (the song and the video) will be released to the entire world next Friday September 20.
John and I met 5 years ago when he needed some work done on his beloved acoustic guitars and he heard “I was the guy”. When I shook his hand and thanked him for his trust in me and told him that I woujd lovingly and respectfully treat his guitars as if they were mine and that I was extremely picky in how I conservatively approach my work with each instrument…in getting it the best it can be as it was designed…he just grinned and said “That’s why I came to you.”
This interface on that sunny summer afternoon…very much like today….was the beginning of an amazing friendship and musical partnership….and I am thankful.
Over each of the next 10 days leading up to the release, I will be sharing more information about the meaning of this song STARBOY and why I know as deep down in my heart and soul as one can delve…that this song will resonate on so many levels with every person in our world that loves and respects and appreciates and sees the value in all animals….especially the ones we have as pets and friends.
I’m also going to state my belief that STARBOY will be the Number One Song at the top of all country and rock country music charts by the end of this year….”for the record”…
For now, I need to see a man about a horse….a horse named STARBOY.
