After a long road of exams and dedication, Abigail is now a licensed architect. It’s a huge accomplishment and one that reflects her hard work, commitment, and talent.

We’re excited to welcome Matthew Pendrick to the JRA Architects team!

A graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Design, Matthew holds both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in architecture. With nine years of experience, he brings a strong foundation of knowledge and a thoughtful approach to his work, and is currently working toward earning his architectural license.

Outside the office, Matthew enjoys bowling and is actively involved in the Polish Cultural Society, where he volunteers and takes on a leadership role within the community.

We’re glad to have him on board and look forward to the perspective and energy he’ll bring to the team. Welcome, Matthew!

A new Outdoor Learning Center is in the works Shawnee Park — a place for programs, events, and community connection.

Please join us in celebrating the groundbreaking of a new Elementary School in Radcliff, KY on February 26! We are always excited to see a project beginning and thankful for our clients and partners in construction.

WEHR Constructors is proud to partner with Hardin County Schools - Kentucky in the construction of their newest elementary school and happily invite the community to join us for its groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 10AM. The project site address can be found in the event graphic. 📍

This new facility will replace North Park Elementary School and is being designed to serve students from preschool through fifth grade. Our team has been working closely with district leadership, designers, and trade partners to prepare for this important milestone, and we’re excited to begin bringing this new school to life! 📚

While the new school has not yet been officially named, it will stand as a long-term investment in the students, families, and future of this community. We look forward to celebrating the start of construction with you. 🤝

80 years is a big deal — and we’re really grateful.

Since 1946, JRA Architects has been shaping communities across Kentucky and beyond, designing spaces where people learn, heal, gather, and grow. Over eight decades, that’s meant K-12 schools and higher education facilities, healthcare environments, civic and judicial buildings, industrial projects — and countless meetings, site visits, problem-solving sessions, late nights, early mornings, and ribbon cuttings along the way.

We’ve always believed good design starts with listening. Our work is grounded in relationships, service, and thoughtful solutions — but what makes 80 years truly meaningful isn’t just the projects. It’s the people. The clients who trust us again and again. The consultants who collaborate alongside us. The communities who use the spaces we create. The JRA team members, past and present, who built this firm. And the families and friends who have supported it all behind the scenes.

In May, we’ll be hosting an Open House to celebrate with our clients, consultants, family, and friends. It feels important to pause, gather together, and simply say thank you to the people who made 80 years possible.

We’re proud of where we’ve been — and excited about what’s ahead.

We were excited to welcome the American Heart Association and the Lexington Fire Department to the JRA office today for a hands-on CPR and training session. Huge thanks to both teams for sharing their time and expertise and helping our staff feel more confident and prepared in critical moments. We’re grateful for the partnership — and for the reminder that being prepared can truly make a difference.
