Wrapped up the installation of a 100-amp lighting panel as part of an ongoing whole-home rewire. This new panel gives the house a safer, cleaner, and more organized electrical layout — a big step forward from the old, overloaded circuits we started with.

Lately we have been seeing (and hearing about) several cases of burnt or scorched electrical receptacles, especially in kitchens — and it’s something we should never ignore.

A damaged outlet doesn’t just look bad… it can actually cause mis operation of kitchen appliances like microwaves, refrigerators, coffee makers, and air fryers. Symptoms can include:

🔌 Appliances randomly shutting off
🔥 Outlets feeling warm or smelling burnt
⚡ Flickering lights when appliances run
🥶 Fridges not cooling properly
⏱️ Microwaves losing power mid-cycle
