Moodboard Monday: Soft Romance 💕

Dusty mauve • Warm taupe • Sage green • Iridescent pearl • Natural textures
There's something timeless about this palette—it's soft without being sweet, romantic without being overly feminine. The muted mauves and taupes feel grounded by sage green and textured naturals, while touches of iridescent pearl add just enough luminosity.

This is the kind of color story that works beautifully in bedrooms, dining rooms, or any space where you want to create a sense of calm intimacy.

Hello! I'm Jillian Ware, a new intern at A3G Architects.

I'm a recent graduate from Liberty North High School and will be attending Kansas State University in the fall to pursue an accelerated master's degree in Interior Architecture. I've lived in Liberty my whole life with my parents and older sister.

I'm a musician and songwriter—I play viola, guitar, and piano, and I sing. I'm also an athlete. I competed in track and field and tennis in high school, and made sectionals in my district for triple jump.

My interest in architecture started young. I grew up watching HGTV and building LEGOs, and at eleven, I designed a complete interior remodel of my family's 1970s home. That project sparked something—a realization that I loved creating spaces.

My dream is to build my own architecture business someday, much like A3G, with a focus on residential design while staying open to exploring all areas of architectural work. I'm excited to learn and grow at A3G this summer!

Fun Photo Friday: Melanie standing tall (literally) 💪

This is what teamwork looks like at A3G—holding each other up, supporting each other's weight, and somehow making it look good. 😂

Happy Friday! Hope your team has your back (or your legs) like ours does!

Happy Preservation Month! 🏛️✨
This May, we're celebrating the historic buildings that give our communities character—and sharing a project we're proud of: helping revitalize downtown Excelsior Springs, MO.

The Challenge:
The City of Excelsior Springs has a beautiful historic downtown with buildings that need exterior repairs—façade work, storefront restoration, roofing, windows, and more. But historic renovations are expensive, and property owners often need financial support.

The Solution:
Missouri's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Downtown Revitalization Program offers up to $750,000 in funding—with up to $75,000 per property for exterior renovations. But cities need detailed scopes of work and cost estimates to apply successfully.

Our Role:
A3G assessed several downtown buildings, identified eligible improvements, and prepared preliminary cost opinions to help the City pursue CDBG funding. This groundwork helps build a strong grant application and gives property owners a clear roadmap for restoration.

Why It Matters:
Historic Main Streets aren't just pretty—they're the economic and social heart of our communities. When we invest in preserving these buildings, we're supporting local businesses, maintaining character, and honoring our architectural heritage.
Every restored storefront contributes to a downtown that feels alive, welcoming, and worth preserving.

At A3G, we don't just celebrate preservation in May—we live it year-round. From downtown revitalization to historic renovations, we're committed to preserving the buildings that tell Missouri's story.
Happy Preservation Month! 🏛️

Moodboard Monday ✨

This week’s inspiration is all about Boho Chic—layered textures, earthy tones, warm wood accents, and soft organic patterns that create a space that feels relaxed, collected, and inviting.

From muted sage and clay tones to woven textures and natural materials, this palette balances warmth and sophistication with a laid-back, lived-in feel. Perfect for spaces designed to feel both grounded and effortlessly curated.

It’s been a busy week here at A3G, and it all started with Aimee leading Saturday morning’s “The Streets That Made Us: Liberty’s Living History Walk” alongside Linda Armstrong.

Hosted in downtown Liberty on May 8, the tour explored how thoughtful street design, historic preservation, and traditional neighborhood development continue to shape a vibrant and connected community.

As a firm rooted in historic downtown Liberty, we’re always grateful for opportunities to celebrate the stories, architecture, and planning decisions that make this community such a special place to live and work. City of Liberty, Mo. Government
