“Why is a design and plan so important for a landscape installation?”

We get this question pretty frequently! Although it’s not always a necessity for a light schedule of plants or a water feature which would hold back creativity. It is definitely an important part on a multi stage project.

✅ It holds both parties accountable, mainly the contractor but having an exact plant schedule with quantities creates a whole different level of transparency and understanding!

✅ Knowing where sleeves are in a large hardscape or if you are even getting sleeves for running electrical or irrigation in the future is vital!

✅ If there are changes that need to be made it’s much easier to do during the design and planning stage. Don’t like the fire pit placement? Grill location on an outdoor kitchen? Great let’s get it moved before a build starts!

Stop paying good money for bad work and don’t trip over a dollar to save a dime and go with a cheap contractor. Most reputable contractors offer the design fee back towards the cost of the project upon signing.

If your landscaper is trying to advise against a design you should definitely run far, far away. If they will cut corners in the design and planning phase imagine what they are cutting corners on in the parts you cant see 😬

Example: With us if you have a $500 design you get that money back towards the cost of the project. And a lot of reputable contractors do something similar!
