Moose Tracks Yardworks is officially closing its doors for good.

To everyone who supported me, kept me busy, trusted me with your properties, or even just recommended me to someone else, thank you. Seriously. It meant more than you probably realized.

On to the next chapter.

It was a quiet but successful plowing season! Thank you to everyone who trusted me with their driveways this winter.

Looking ahead, I’ll be reaching out to a few customers before next season regarding driveway grading and any trees that may need to be limbed up—there were a couple of driveways that left my truck with some “racing stripes” from low-hanging branches! 😅

Then in October, I’ll be reaching out to everyone to confirm if they want plowing for the season.

Next season, I’ll continue with contract-only plowing and am considering flexible payment options—either a lump sum at the start of the season or monthly payments.

I’ll likely be focusing mostly in Limington and stepping away from accounts in parts of Limerick to streamline service.

Thanks again for your support, and stay tuned!

🌿 Spring Services Are Coming! 🌿

We’re gearing up for another season of lawn care and property maintenance! Our services include:
• Weekly mowing during peak growth (then every 10–14 days as the season slows)
• Spring cleanups to remove leaves, debris, and winter buildup
• Small demo work to clear or prep areas for projects

Why weekly mowing matters:
1. Grass health: Regular mowing strengthens roots, promotes dense growth, and reduces weeds.
2. Appearance: Keeps lawns looking neat—long, overgrown grass quickly appears patchy.
3. Pest & disease prevention: Short, consistent grass reduces pests, ticks, and fungal issues.
4. Equipment & fuel efficiency: Longer grass increases wear and tear and burns more fuel. Weekly mowing is easier on equipment and your wallet.
5. Ease of maintenance: Frequent cuts prevent clumps that can smother your lawn.

Important: We do not mow properties once every 2-4 weeks or more. Services are offered via seasonal contracts, just like plowing, for reliable care.

📍 Current routes: Limington, Limerick, Hollis, Standish

We picked up about an inch of snow overnight, and freezing rain and ice are moving in later today through tonight. If you’d like your driveway cleaned up before it turns into a frozen mess, now’s the time.

I’m currently in Limerick and will be heading back toward Limington shortly. If you want your driveway plowed, send me a message and I’ll see if I can fit you in while I’m in the area.

Stay ahead of the ice!

End of Season Plowing Reminder — Please Read:

As we close out the snow season, I need everyone’s help to keep things moving efficiently and safely:

• If it’s not trash day, remove your trash cans from the end of the driveway. I cannot properly open up your apron when I’m weaving around barrels. Clear entrance = better results.

• If I am actively plowing your driveway, do NOT try to go around me. Wait. Make eye contact. I will wave you on when it’s clear. Trying to squeeze past heavy equipment in a tight driveway is how accidents happen.

• If it’s dark, turn your exterior lights on. Plowing unlit driveways at 4:30–5:00 AM makes an already hazardous job harder than it needs to be.

• My plow is built for snow. Not solid ice. Not frozen road base. There may be more snow than ice underneath at this point in the season, but there is still a significant amount of ice built up. I will move what I reasonably can — but I cannot scrape down to pavement when it’s bonded like concrete.

• Mailboxes and road edges: I can only push so far. There’s heavy packed snow, ice, and culverts lining many driveways. If I go too far off the roadway trying to clean up around a mailbox, I end up stuck in a culvert — and that helps no one.

I take pride in doing a clean, professional job every storm. These small things make a big difference in the quality and safety of the work.

Let’s finish the season strong and smart.

Thank you,

Jacob

After the recent snowfall followed by rain, sleet, and heavy winds, driveways have turned into icy surfaces. For your safety—and to help ensure I can safely and effectively plow your property—I highly recommend salting your driveway before my next visit.

Even a light layer of salt can make a big difference in preventing slips and allowing equipment to operate efficiently. Your cooperation keeps both you and me safe during this icy weather.

Thank you for helping me keep things running smoothly this winter!
