We have had many people reach out over the last week asking how John is and checking on Donnie and the guys. Donnie & I felt it was best to give John’s family and us some time to process all that has happened before saying anything here on facebook.
On last Wednesday, October 27th our foreman and Donnie's right hand man John Chandler suffered a massive heart attack while on the job site. (He is only 39 years old.) Thankfully, Donnie and the guys were there and were able to immediately start CPR, fighting to keep him alive for 40 minutes until the medics arrived. He was then airlifted to Dartmouth and given only a 5% chance of survival upon arrival. He has shown just how strong he is as he is fighting everyday to get through this. He is still heavily sedated and on a ventilator at this point, but they will start the process of waking him up over the next week. This is going to be a very long road for John and his family, but the doctors do feel that he will be able to recover and in time live a normal life.
This last week has been extremely emotional and hard on everyone. We want to thank all of you that have reached out and continue to check in to see how John and all of us are doing... it is truly appreciated as John is more than just an employee to us. As Donnie always says ~ “ He is his brother from another Mother”.
Please continue to keep John and his family in your thoughts and prayers, as well as Donnie and our guys for this has been very heart wrenching and traumatic to everyone. ❤️
