A huge thank you to all of our customers who have supported Salt & Soil Property Services.
Your word of mouth, recommendations, reviews, and referrals have grown our business tremendously over the past year. Seeing neighbors recommend us on Facebook and Nextdoor means more to our team than you know.
We know that in a sea of AI stock photos for winter plowing, companies that come and go, and contractors who simply don’t show up, you’re probably wondering: Who is Salt & Soil?
We built this business with one thing in mind: reliability.
From day one, our goal has been to change the standard in an industry where better communication, professionalism, and dependable service have been long overdue. You should know when we’re coming. You should hear from us when weather changes the schedule. And most importantly, you should be able to count on the company you hired to actually show up.
Real crews. Real trucks. Real work. Real customer reviews.
And we've invested in the things you don't always see in a picture. We've spent a lot of time building a professional website that makes it easy to reach us, request service, and get information without having to chase someone down. We have a 24/7 answering service, along with email and text communication to keep our customers connected to us.
It takes extra time and investment to build those systems, but it shows in our reviews. Again and again, our customers mention our communication, quick responses, updates, and reliability and that's exactly what we set out to build.
We don’t plan on being another company that’s here today and gone tomorrow. We plan on being the best and building Salt & Soil into a name that stands proudly in our community for years and years to come.
We’re locally based right here in Liverpool, NY, serving homeowners and businesses throughout Central New York.
A FEW THINGS TO LOOK FOR BEFORE HIRING A SNOW CONTRACTOR THIS YEAR
Before signing a seasonal snow contract, take a few minutes to look beyond the ad.
Are the photos actually theirs? Look for real trucks, equipment, crews, and completed properties — not just stock or AI-generated winter photos.
Are they properly insured? Snow and ice work carries real liability. Make sure the company you hire can provide proof of insurance.
Do they have real local reviews? Check Facebook, Nextdoor, Google, and other places where actual customers are talking. Don't rely only on testimonials posted by the company itself.
Can you actually reach them? A phone number is one thing. Ask what happens during a major storm when you need an update. Look for an established website, answering system, email communication, and a company that responds.
How will they communicate during a storm? Ask whether you'll receive updates and how you'll know when crews are running. Our clients receive storm and route updates so they aren't left wondering.
Do they have an actual service plan? Know your trigger depth, what's included, how heavy storms are handled, and what happens when snow continues throughout the day.
And most importantly, will they show up? A cheap snow contract isn't much of a deal if you're looking for another contractor halfway through January.
Thank you to everyone who has trusted us, recommended us, and helped spread our name throughout CNY. Your word of mouth is building this company, and we don't take that lightly.
