Don’t Overlook Your Foundation Drainage! 🏗️💧**

Building a basement? The strongest walls in the world won’t matter if you don’t manage the water around them. Here is why a complete drainage system is non-negotiable:

**1. Dual Protection (Inside & Out) 🛡️**
We install foundation drains on both the **exterior** and **interior** of the footer. This creates a "double defense" to ensure ground water never creates hydrostatic pressure against your new walls.

**2. Through-Foundation Connection 🔗**
By running pipe bleeders through the foundation, we tie the inside and outside systems together. This ensures that water has a clear, unobstructed path to flow away from the structure rather than sitting against it.

**3. Gutter & Roof Runoff 🏠**
Your roof collects thousands of gallons of water. We tie all gutter downspouts into a dedicated solid pipe system—keeping roof water completely separate from your foundation drains.

**4. The "Daylight" Finish ☀️**
The job isn't done until it’s "daylighted." We run all lines to a sloped area on the property far away from the house, letting gravity naturally pull the water out and away.

**The Bottom Line:** A dry basement starts before the first bucket of backfill hits the wall. Do it right the first time!

Give them a call for all specialty welding and fabrication! There’s few places you need to have someone that is competent and certified at their profession. Welding and structural custom framing is definitely in that list! Give them call they can reverse engineer to fix any problem that may arise. Happy Monday!!!

Progress on this cabin
We’ve been hard at work on this one and haven’t stopped long enough to share it, but the tongue and groove, loft rails, timber details, and that stone fireplace are all starting to come together. We’re thankful for every customer who trusts us to build a place that means something to their family, and we don’t take that lightly. We’re grateful for the opportunity to keep doing this work.
