One strategy I have learned As an Occupied Home Stager, (helping sellers list their home), is to thoughtfully curate each room in the home to serve ONE purpose. This enables potential buyers to envision themselves in the home you’re trying to sell. For example, a formal dining room should showcase its intended use, free from instruments, file cabinets or bookcases and other such items that don’t communicate to the buyer that this room is a dining room. Having this clarity helps buyers focus on the home's features, rather than perceiving storage issues. Similarly, assigning a dedicated function to each closet can maximize storage. Designate a single closet for household essentials like cleaning supplies and mops, keeping them organized and out of unexpected spaces like the food pantry. By implementing this strategy in your current home, or a home you're trying to sell, you can transform cluttered spaces into havens that also help with mental clarity.

We removed the bookcase, couch, repositioning the bed to move the focal point of the room to the first thing you see when you walk through the door. We also had client neutralize the bedroom color pallet. Now buyers can see the sole purpose of this room and it creates a space that communicates a sense of rest.
