Our new aluminum doors are in. In the kitchen, we went with a bifold system so the entire width of the room can open straight out to the yard.

Center sliders went into the playroom and the garage. And for the garage door itself, we used a custom bifold system so the space can double as a multi-purposed room — connected to the backyard on both sides.

Same house, same folded roofline, two completely different moods depending on what we clad it in.

Dark wood makes it feel private, almost broody against the glass. Warm stone does the opposite — lighter, softer, like the whole house exhales a little. Swipe between the two and tell us which one you'd actually want to come home to.

This bedroom gives you two different views depending on which way you turn.

Look toward the fireplace and it's all trees and quiet stone; turn toward the arch and the ocean opens up, with a window seat built deep enough to actually curl into and stay a while.

We shaped that curve on purpose, the kind of window you don't just look through, you sit inside of and let the sunset do the rest.

Our client loved the Mediterranean style of this Venice bungalow, but the downstairs bathroom was trying too hard to feel special.

Since it also doubles as the powder room, we tucked the shower nook out of sight so the space reads like a powder room first, not a full bath.
We simplified the overall language and let texture do the work instead of piling on complicated features — tumbled limestone tile, lime plaster, unlacquered brass.

The room is basically the perfect stop after a morning surf session.

Framing's progressing and you can finally start seeing the space take shape.

Remodels are tricky this way, nothing in an old house is ever actually level, so having a good framer on this one matters more than people realize.

We're also keeping the existing wood-burning fireplace, since those aren't allowed in new construction in California anymore. Just giving it a little TLC instead of losing it.

This Palisades rebuild sits up on its own rise of grass, set back from the street, so by the time you're walking toward it, you've already caught the roofline floating over the glass and the warm light coming from inside.

We wanted the house to announce itself gently from a distance rather than all at once at the door — the kind of place you look forward to arriving at before you've arrived.

Every framed view, a reminder that architecture is not just about moving through space, but about discovering moments worth slowing down for.

The journey through a home should feel as intentional as the destination.

The big beam for the pergola is in — that's where the multi-slide doors will go, opening the living and dining room straight onto the deck and backyard.
