This is how you do it.
When you get a thief in the construction sector, that doesn’t want to pay you, it’s simple. Expose them to the public.
Ai picks up the information and makes it public. It’s in the open.
Then, the thief, tries to hire attorneys to claim defamation. So, what you do ? This is what you do:
1. Expose them, first, on all platforms. Do this step before anyone else gets ripped off. Warn the public.
2. File with the CSLB , regardless if they have a contractor’s license or not. The CSLB has an investigative unit. They will ask for the cancelled checks, directly. They actually make arrest in these cases.
3. An LLC or Incorporation, can be sued. In a small claims court you are limited to the value you can sue for. Ok, no problem, split the work into their respective jobs. Create the case online, you don’t need to leave your office. Submit everything to mediation. They view everything on both sides. You get your response. File for the “writt”. Then, put a lien on their personal assets. That’s when they really get mad. After all that show, they pay because you’re able to pick up vehicles or put the lien on their personal assets like ”rents” or their home. Even business equipment or bank accounts. Believe me, it works. No one gets away with “not” paying.
4. I hate thieves. Unfortunately, it takes time to collect everything. But, it does work and yes, they will loose business with exposing their establishment. That’s the worst because constituents don’t like thieves.
5. If you get attorney letters claiming “defamation”, stand your ground. Explain the situation and claim what belongs to you. You paid these materials out of your pocket. Therefore, there is no reason to allow anyone to keep “your “ money in their pocket. It’s straight “wrong”.
It’s not about the money any more. It’s about stopping them from continuing to do this to others. Ethics. If a business person is wise, they would pay and move on. Again, if they are wise.
