One of the biggest mistakes homeowners make is waiting too long to build their media wall.

By the time furniture, décor, and accessories are already in place, the wall often becomes an afterthought.

This project shows the opposite approach.

The home was still empty, which allowed us to create the main focal point of the living room before everything else was added. Just like a kitchen often defines how a home functions, a well-designed media wall can define how a living space feels.

For this project, we built a clean, timeless media wall featuring a Touchstone electric fireplace, custom mantel, shaker cabinets, custom shelving, and integrated lighting. We also handled the entire material procurement process, including sourcing the fireplace.

💰 Project Cost: $9,800
👷 2 Craftsmen
📅 Completed in 6 Days

The result is a modern, versatile media wall that will continue to work beautifully no matter how the homeowner chooses to furnish the space in the future.

One thing we’ve learned after completing dozens of custom wall projects:

Clients almost never change their minds about the idea of having a wall.

They change their minds about the details.

And that’s actually a good thing.

Because once a project moves from inspiration photos into a real room, people start seeing the space differently.

The most common things clients change during the design process:

🎨 Color

A shade that looked perfect on Pinterest may feel too dark, too light, too warm, or too cool in the actual room.

✨ Lighting

Many clients initially skip lighting.
Then they see how much depth and atmosphere it adds and decide to include it.

🪵 Materials

Wood textures, stone, decorative plaster, acoustic panels — seeing materials in person often changes the decision completely.

🔥 Fireplace size

One of the most common changes.
A fireplace that seemed large enough on paper often feels smaller once it’s placed into the overall composition.

📦 Storage

Floating cabinets and built-ins are frequently added later when clients realize how useful hidden storage can be.

This is exactly why we spend so much time on visualizations and material selection before installation begins.

Because changing your mind during planning is easy.

Changing your mind after construction starts is much harder.

The goal isn’t to rush decisions.

The goal is to create a wall you’ll love for years.

📍 Our projects across Glendale, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Calabasas, Pasadena, and other Los Angeles areas are always customized to the space and the client.

This custom media wall project combines design, functionality, and thoughtful details in one clean composition.

The goal was to create a modern focal point while keeping the space organized and visually balanced.

The project includes:

✔ custom console
✔ acoustic panels
✔ floating shelves
✔ integrated lighting
✔ marble-look PVC panel

One of the biggest advantages of a custom media wall is that every element is designed to work together. Instead of separate furniture pieces and visible cables, the space feels intentional and complete.

We also relocated outlets and prepared the wall for TV installation to keep the final result as clean as possible.

The combination of textures adds depth, while the soft lighting highlights the geometry of the wall and creates a warmer atmosphere in the room.

The project was completed in 4 days by 2 craftsmen.

One craftsman focused on electrical work, outlet relocation, and TV installation, while the second completed the wall construction, panel installation, shelving, and finishing details.

Project value: $4,600.

This basement media wall project started with a very minimal request.

The client wanted:
✔ a clean modern wall
✔ built-in fireplace
✔ no heavy decorative elements

Originally, the plan was to use standard paint for the finish.

But during the visualization process, we suggested an alternative solution:
decorative plaster.

Why?

Because smooth painted walls and textured walls create completely different visual feelings inside a space.

Decorative plaster added:
• depth
• softness
• architectural texture
• a more premium atmosphere

Even though this decision increased the project cost, the client loved the final direction and chose to move forward with the textured finish.

The result is still minimalist —
but visually much richer and more sophisticated.

This project is also a good example of why visualization matters so much before installation.

Sometimes clients initially imagine one solution,
but after seeing proportions, materials, and textures in context, they realize another option fits the space much better.

Completed in 5 days by 2 craftsmen.
Project value before returning-client discount: $6,400.

A lot of people think a room feels unfinished because it needs more furniture or decor.

But usually — that’s not the real reason.

Most unfinished spaces are missing:
• structure
• depth
• texture
• lighting
• a focal point

That’s why certain rooms immediately feel calm, expensive, and intentional —
even when they’re minimal.

The difference is in how the space is built visually.

A well-designed wall can completely change:
✔ the balance of the room
✔ how lighting feels
✔ how the eye moves through the space
✔ the overall atmosphere

That’s why media walls and accent walls have such a strong impact.

They create:
• visual structure
• warmth
• contrast
• layering
• functionality

And interestingly —
minimalist interiors often require even MORE attention to proportions and details because there’s nowhere to hide mistakes.

The goal is never to overcrowd the room.

The goal is to make the space feel complete.

That’s exactly how we approach projects across Glendale, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Calabasas, Pasadena, and other Los Angeles areas.

There’s a big difference between installing a wall… and designing a space around it.

A lot of people think custom walls are only about construction.

But the truth is:
the best projects are usually the result of thoughtful design decisions long before installation even begins.

Because design-focused work considers things like:
• room proportions
• ceiling height
• lighting
• furniture placement
• symmetry
• visual balance
• material interaction

That’s why some walls immediately feel:
✔ expensive
✔ calm
✔ architectural
✔ intentional

even when the design itself is very minimal.

It’s not about adding more elements.

It’s about making the right decisions for the actual space.

For example:
a wall that looks amazing in one house may feel completely wrong in another room with different lighting, proportions, or furniture layout.

That’s why we don’t simply copy Pinterest inspiration.

Every project is adapted to the specific home and lifestyle of the client.

Visualization is a huge part of this process because it helps us understand how the final composition will actually feel inside the room before construction starts.

Beautiful interiors are rarely accidental.

Usually, they’re the result of hundreds of small details working together.

That’s exactly how we approach projects across Glendale, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Calabasas, Pasadena, and other Los Angeles areas.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when choosing a wall design?

Starting with Pinterest instead of the actual space.

A wall can look amazing online —
and feel completely wrong in a real home.

Because choosing the right wall is not only about style.

It’s about:
• lighting
• ceiling height
• room proportions
• furniture
• lifestyle
• mood and atmosphere

For example:

A dark dramatic wall may look beautiful in a bright room with large windows —
but feel too heavy in a smaller low-light space.

Some designs work better for:
✔ entertaining
✔ movie nights
✔ cozy family spaces
✔ minimalist interiors
✔ modern open layouts

And some walls simply don’t fit the way people actually use the room.

That’s why we always focus on adapting the design to the real home instead of copying inspiration photos.

Visualization is a huge part of this process.

It helps clients understand:
✔ proportions
✔ materials
✔ textures
✔ lighting
✔ overall atmosphere

before installation even begins.

Because the goal is not just to build a beautiful wall.

The goal is to create a space that feels right for your everyday life.

Our projects across Glendale, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Pasadena, Calabasas, and other Los Angeles areas are always designed around the actual space — not trends alone.

This project in Glendale is a perfect example of how a relatively simple wall can completely transform the feeling of a space.

The room originally felt empty and visually unfinished, especially for a home office setup.

The goal was to create something modern and structured while still keeping the overall look clean and minimal.

We designed a dual accent wall combining:
✔ modern wainscoting
✔ vertical wood slats

The contrast between the black panels and warm wood texture added depth and balance without making the room feel heavy.

Now the space feels:
• more intentional
• more organized
• visually complete
• and much more comfortable to use every day

Projects like this are a reminder that sometimes you don’t need a full renovation to completely change the atmosphere of a room.

Completed in just 2 days.
Total investment: $2,800.

How do you understand which wall is right for your home? 👀

A lot of clients come to us saying:

“I know I want something beautiful… but I don’t know what exactly.”

And honestly - that’s completely normal.

Most people are not interior designers.
It’s hard to imagine:
• proportions
• materials
• colors
• lighting
• textures
inside your actual space.

That’s exactly why we work with visualizations before installation.

Visualization helps you:
✔ see how the wall will look in your room
✔ compare different styles
✔ understand proportions
✔ test colors and materials
✔ feel the atmosphere before construction starts

Sometimes clients think they want: minimalism…

and then realize they actually love warm wood textures and lighting.

Or vice versa - they initially choose something bold,
but later understand they want a cleaner and calmer look.

This process helps avoid expensive mistakes and makes the final result feel much more intentional.

Because the goal is not just to build a wall.

The goal is to create something that feels right specifically for your home.

Our projects across Glendale, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Calabasas, Pasadena, and other Los Angeles areas are always adapted to the actual space — not copied from Pinterest.
