6/3 3:15 AM CDT Radar Update - We have a mesolow slowly drifting east near Portales, NM. Subsequently, a broad area of moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms is spinning around the east side throughout the 806 area. We anticipate this mesolow to continue to develop showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Localized flash flooding may be a concern this morning, especially for areas around and south of Lubbock.

06/01/2026 - Our risk of localized flash flooding will begin to increase around the region Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, lasting through Thursday! Localized means that some very local-scale heavy rainfall totals will result in flash flooding, similar to what we saw across the region Sunday night! Be sure to if you come across a flooded roadway! Isolated rainfall totals over 2” are possible, especially for areas highlighted in yellow on the map below!
