Hello, My name is Heather Battaglia and I had the honor of working for My Thyme Gardens for 3 years in several different roles. I worked as a part of the crew, marketing/admin and team lead. After, the close of the maintenance division of My Thyme Gardens I tried a different job and found I was missing the rewarding work of landscape gardening. In the fall of 2024, I opened Gardening by Heather to

serve Macomb County, Rochester and Grosse Pointe communities with their gardening needs. I offer:

Garden bed MAKEOVER! We love to bring a fresh new look to our client’s landscaping. After clearing the w**ds, we created a new edge to make cutting the lawn easier, as well as keep the grass from growing into the rocks and bed. Perennials used: Little Quick Fire Hydrangea, dwarf butterfly bushes, penstemon and coral bells in carmel.

Landscaping back in shape! We love helping those that can no longer work in their landscaping like they once did. Special thanks to Frank Sparks Professional Shrub Trimming for removing the poison ivy so we could come back and finish the job.

Just say No to playground mulch. Playground mulch is shredded tires and it is great for playgrounds where kids run and play, not garden beds. Rubber mulch will hold more heat and slowly leach petroleum into your beds. This is not good for your plants. Yes it holds its color which is appealing, but as you can see in the video leaves and sticks sit on top of the rubber mulch, which makes your beds look messy. Please use wood mulch.

A big clean up for the team today. But we did it! 💪🏻 All but the end of the driveway bed was completed. It unfortunately had w**d trees as I call them
that have been growing in there for too many years, along with poison ivy. I have gotten poison ivy enough to steer clear of it. 😊
