America in Bloom - Madisonville, KY AIB is a national awards program that provides a framework for improving the quality of life in your town. www.AmericaInBloom.org

The City of Madisonville, for the second year, will participate in a national Beautification Contest called "America in Bloom". America in Bloom is based on strategies and organizational models that have been tested and used successfully by municipalities across the country. By encouraging and contributing to the beautification of the city's landscape and environment, we strengthen pride in our

community and increase the standard of living for our residents, businesses, and guests. For more information on America in Bloom, please visit www.AmericaInBloom.org. Through this program, our city will compete with other cities of similar populations and be judged in six categories. The judges will visit and review our city on July 12 & 13 and submit to us a detailed evaluation and list of suggestions. The six categories are: Floral Displays, Environmental Issues, Urban Forestry, Landscaped Areas, Heritage Preservation.and Tidiness. This effort will require help from the entire community.
