🏠Indoor Safety Tips
▪️Avoid Overloading: Do not plug too many devices into one outlet or power strip

▪️Outlet Safety: Use childproof covers/caps on unused outlets. If outlets are warm or sparking, contact a licensed electrician.

▪️Water Safety: Keep all electrical appliances away from water sources. Have Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCIs) installed in kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms.

▪️Use Proper Extensions: Extension cords are for temporary use only; do not use them as permanent wiring.

✅Outdoor Safety Tips
▪️Digging Safety: Call 811 to have underground utilities marked before stating any digging projects.

▪️Overhead Lines: Check for overhead powerlines before using ladders, cleaning gutters or carrying ling tools.

▪️Downed Lines: Never touch or approach downed powerlines; call 911 or your local utility company.

▪️Outdoor Rating: Only use electrical tools and products labeled for outdoor use.

This Sunday, we are asking for the American Flag to be flown at half staff in honor of National Fallen Firefighters Weekend. We will pause to honor the lives of the brave men and women who lost their lives in the line of duty. Their courage, sacrifice and commitment to protecting their communities reflects the very best of our nation. This time of honor is about remembering the loss but also showing gratitude to those who stood ready to serve no matter the cost.

To our fallen firefighters, now is your time to rest. We take watch from here.
