This seedling was grown organically in Upcountry Maui. Tested by misty mornings and changing weather, then lifted and stored. The next chapter depends on whether the tubers choose to wake again.

Growing dahlias takes so much time and work and honestly, I don’t always enjoy it. But when the garden finally bursts into bloom, it reminds me why I do it.

New year, new adventures, and another dahlia season on the horizon. I’m so excited for what this year will bring from traveling to new places to watching my dahlia seedlings grow into something completely unique. Just like exploring the world, each seedling is a journey into the unknown. I can’t wait to see my seedling patch filled with never-before-seen blooms and beautiful surprises this season.

Florelie Antique is easily one of the most beautiful dahlias of the season. Even grown under lights, this bloom is exquisite. I can’t wait to grow them in the summertime and look forward to many more blooms ahead.
