A fast-moving storm system will bring a round of snow, lake effect snow, gusty winds, and blowing snow to the area this afternoon through Thursday night, with the worst conditions and greatest impacts (primarily from blowing snow) expected from late this evening through Thursday. Lake effect snow will then continue southeast/east of the lakes through Friday night.

Meet Nick of Ground Tactics LLC, a veteran-owned demolition and excavation company right here in the community. When Nick approached us with a mission to deliver supplies to hurricane-affected areas in North Carolina, we didn’t hesitate. We provided him with an enclosed trailer, completely free of charge, to assist those still in need.

Be sure to follow Ground Tactics and see the incredible work they’re doing. Even though the hurricane may no longer be making headlines, the need for support remains.

Hi team! So with this last load of donations we ended up in Bakersville, North Carolina. They had no power so the whole area was blacked out except for the head lights on the trucks. The superintendent for the school system there was my contact and basically was hand delivering everything to all the families there. He had a group that had four wheelers and atvs to help deliver. This area of NC is expected to not have power for another 2 to 3 months. Unloading was cold. I can say without a doubt that all that was delivered was very much needed. Thank you ❤️ to everyone who helped and stepped up. They loved the Halloween Goodies 🎃 and all the heaters and warm coats. Helping one small town from another.
