I want to come here to be transparent with all of our customers and make something abundantly clear while also being respectful.
[I work as an independent contractor with employees out of my home I don’t have set hours like a normal business which gives me the freedoms to set my schedule as needed wether it be early or late in the day, just wanted to clarify this as well]
We were contacted by a woman in Damascus to go give a quote and we told her we would be there at 10am. As things escalated through the night some things happened couldn’t get to bed til late and when it came time for the alarm that was set to go off it didn’t. The lady had texted me and asked to reschedule if we couldn’t make it and when we called to reschedule she was very rude and after we explained the alarm never went off she said “ don’t worry about it, if you sleep this late I don’t want somebody who sleeps this late working for me” and hung up without allowing us an explanation.
Normally I don’t make posts but there’s a few things I want our customers to know about this, we work 2 jobs while maintaining our family at home. We have days we don’t start til late and we have days where we plan it out and it doesn’t always work bc things happen and not on purpose and then there’s days that work out perfectly.
But as a business owner and a human being the last thing I want to do is work for someone who lacks respect and is very quick to judge someone when they don’t personally know anything about the person on their end of the phone, especially when they base a job off of one missed appointment that I was calling to reschedule as was requested to do by the customer.
We are human too and we deserve respect as well as you as the customer. If I ever miss a planned quote appointment I apologize, and I will always be transparent as to why I’m late or need to reschedule. Most of the time I can say beforehand I’m not gonna make it or be late but this time I couldn’t, and all bc I relied on an alarm clock.
I just want to give full details before a bad review pops up and everyone defines me on one review without the full story. But I also want to make sure that my business is being respected as well.
