With spring time about here, chicken season is starting. We had a client wanting us to build a small coop for them. Its built off site, so its off the ground to make it easier to get loaded when they come to pick it up. It measures 9ft long, 6ft wide, and 7.5ft tall. The coop boxes are also accessible from out side. Hardware cloth covers all of the open areas for fresh air and predator protection. We used some reclaimed roofing that was readily available per the clients request. So if you've been thinking about getting some chickens, this is a great option for housing them!

We've been working inside and outside on a business in town, inside we've been working with some other contractors to prep the walls and ceiling for paint. Outside we've torn down some old siding and replaced it with new, and installed a new storm door as well. After new paint and trim its all finished up outside. Last step is pressure washing the brick and concrete which is happening tomorrow.

We've been pretty busy lately, here's a balcony floor we replaced for a local business. It had 1/4 plywood as a base that lasted over 10 years, when we pulled it up, we decided to go with 1/2 treated plywood. That along with 2 coats of a good durable floor paint, the clients should get a long life out of thier new floor.

We had a client that wanted a rustic smoking/grilling shed. He liked the designs with metal roofing on the bottom half of the walls and fresh sawn lumber on the top. So thats what we did. We also ran electric to the shed so he can plug in his smoker, and have a TV with surround sound to watch the game. The client is going to add some lighting later using a plug and switch we put in for those late evenings outside.

We had a client who has free range chickens, they dont always lay where they would like them too because of that. So we built a small secondary nesting box station and they put it in the chickens favorite spot, hoping it would help.

Been working on a large deck the past 2 weeks, it was a complete demo and rebuild. Day 1 and 2 were demo and hauling old materials away, we also were able to pour the new footers. We let the footers cure over the weekend and started framing the following Monday. Here's a few progression pictures, were hoping to finish up early next week! The client wants to leave the 2 center posts high, so he can attach a sun shade and bird feeders with ease.
