I finished up this model car racetrack a few weeks ago. A repeat customer had contacted me with this idea as a Christmas gift for their grandkids. I designed the legs and landing area to be able to fold up for easy storage.

Picked up some 4/4 maple from a local sawmill to make the drawers out of. This project is moving along!

This laundry room storage cabinet and shelves is now complete. It was a great idea by the customer as a way to gain some storage and hide the utilities. I was happy to bring their idea to life!

Been finishing up several plans this week and this is the next project in the works. It has a cabinet base for some laundry baskets and shelves overtop. This will hide all of the utilities and hookups around the washer and dryer.

The current workbench I’m using was passed down to me from my grandfather. After studying it I’m pretty sure the top is solid maple from a bowling alley lane. It’s simple but it works.

This mid-century modern coffee table is now for sale. Message me or visit my website if you are interested. This coffee table boasts a beautiful black oak live edge top from . There were several knot holes and cracks that were filled with black epoxy. This method of filling the cracks maintains the original character while also keeping the wood stable. The ends of the top are undercut at 45 degrees to enhance the sleek and modern visual of this table. The legs and apron are made of red oak, and really bring together the mid-century modern aesthetic. The joinery I went with to connect the legs and apron is called a half lap. All the joinery is hand-cut and chiseled for a flush and tight fit. The finish on all the pieces is a very durable finish with a satin look. The base has 10 inset holes for the bolts to screw into the top. In addition, the top has threaded inserts for the bolts to screw directly into.
