Small business reality check. 😂🔨

When the crew doesn’t show up… the BOSS does. 👏

Owning a small business isn’t always estimates, contracts, phone calls and finished-project photos. Sometimes it means putting on the work boots, grabbing the tools and getting the job done yourself.

Because when your name is on the business, the responsibility ultimately falls on YOU.

There are scheduling hiccups. People get sick. Jobs run longer than expected. Equipment breaks. Weather changes plans. And sometimes the day just doesn’t go anything like you planned. 🤦‍♀️

But our customers are still counting on us.

That’s the part of small business people don’t always see—the behind-the-scenes scrambling, problem solving and doing whatever needs to be done to keep things moving.

They are still doing this exact same thing in Charleston Illinois as well. Explaining away damages, saying it’s all old, step flashing doesn’t get secured to the roof deck, piece it back together as best you can please. I have one claim with five trades and I was told it doesn’t qualify for O and P!!! It’s becoming a joke really. You have an adjuster that hasn’t even gotten his feet wet in construction explaining away items that makes zero sense. They want you to pay more to upgrade protection on your home for them. Storm hits and they won’t pay more to have it replaced properly. I see it daily with my own eyes. They use language to twist and turn anything you say around to make it confusing and favor their wallet instead of taking care of their client.. sorry for the rant but it pi**es me off!!! Look at the clip below. Everything done in the dark will always come to light. Customers are counting on you to take care of them. Have some integrity and follow your own tune. State Farm is on your side right?!!

Today I’m grateful for long days. These long days wouldn’t be possible without sobriety and the love and support of my family at home missing me. God thank you for the grace and mercy I don’t deserve. Another storm claim customer put back together and ready for the next one.

Today we are working with a STRANDED CUSTOMER!!! This solar system was installed in 2022. The company that did the install has went BANKRUPT! The customer was referred to us by a previous customer and that is important. If you’re not doing good work and keeping your word to your customers. They are not going to bless you with referrals. Here we we have a 28 panel Generac system that we are going to remove. It’s important to note that the roof below it has failed and is leaking inside the customer’s home the decking I do not believe was up to code for this type of system. We will remove the system and put it in storage. A new roof will be put in place and we will continue to assist this customer with getting their system back online properly.
