Behind the scenes at the Airgas facility expansion in Clarksville, TN.

This project is part of a $150 million investment by Air Liquide to expand Airgas production capacity in Tennessee — including a new ASU, liquefier, and pipeline network that will supply oxygen, nitrogen, and argon to industrial, healthcare, and food production customers across Kentucky and Tennessee. The expansion is tied to a long-term contract with LG Chem to support their cathode active material plant for EV batteries — work that's contributing to battery manufacturing growth right here in the U.S.

Asphalt milling is one of the most important steps in a resurfacing project.

It is the process of removing the top layer of worn asphalt to a controlled depth, creating a clean and properly graded surface for new material. This step helps maintain drainage, keeps pavement heights aligned with curbs and inlets, and improves how well the new asphalt bonds to the surface below.

Without milling, overlays can fail early due to poor adhesion, improper slope, or existing issues being paved over instead of corrected.

For commercial properties, it is a key part of getting longer life out of a parking lot and avoiding repeat repairs.

Under Armour | Mt. Juliet, TN

Wright Construction’s Nashville division completed a large-scale asphalt maintenance project for Under Armour in Mt. Juliet. The scope included 378,000 square feet of sealcoating and 26,000 linear feet of crackfill to protect and extend the life of the existing pavement.

Led by Chris Mitacek, the team developed a phased approach that allowed work to move efficiently while minimizing disruption to daily operations. With support from partner contractor Randy S. Mundy Asphalt & Sealcoating for striping, the project was completed ahead of schedule, under budget, and with strong results.

Proactive maintenance like sealcoating and crackfill plays a key role in preserving commercial asphalt and reducing long-term repair costs.
