Thinking about switching your Boise-area pool to saltwater? Quick heads-up: a salt pool isn’t chlorine-free. A salt chlorine generator makes chlorine from dissolved salt, so you still need regular water testing, pH management, and routine cleaning and maintenance.

The important part is making sure the setup fits your pool. We’ll look at the chemistry baseline, existing plumbing, pool size, equipment pad, electrical setup, cell placement, flow protection, and whether the system can integrate with your automation. We’ll also talk through corrosion considerations around heaters, ladders, fixtures, and other equipment.
