Finished another roof with ice and water shield, this time for Ivan, a great dude. Getting to know customers and answering their questions is one of my favorite parts. We take our time and make sure they're comfortable with the process but we certainly don’t try and camp out in their kitchens to get them to sign a contract with us…that’s just gross pushy sales tactics.

We’re in the middle of spring showers here in the Treasure Valley 🌦️

🤯 We helped fix up this 90-year-old commercial building, originally a grocery store in the 1940s and now a triplex. The owner, a disabled veteran 🇺🇸 was dealing with several leaks and needed a solution quickly.

We stripped it down and rebuilt it the right way with:

✅ Upgraded drainage to move water where it belongs

We finished this beautiful homes new roof replacement for our customer Diana here in Meridian, ID. This roof was over 20 years old and showing signs of wear from Idaho’s wind and temperature swings. We installed new GAF HDZ shingles and proper underlayment with ice and water shield to ensure it’s protected from the Treasure Valleys ever changing weather for years to come!

🏠✨ Why Ice & Water Shield Is a Must for Your Roof ✨🏠

Just this week we visited a customer’s home with a beautiful metal roof…except for one surprise under the eaves: a patch of serious dry rot from a slow leak! 😮 Without a proper underlayment, even the sturdiest metal panels can let water sneak in, leading to costly wood damage—and that’s exactly what happened here.

Without it, metal roofs are more vulnerable to leaks for the following reasons:

🔴 Thermal Expansion and Contraction-
Metal expands and contracts with all of Idahos many temperature changes through out the year. Without an ice and water shield, small gaps or loosened fasteners caused by this movement can allow water to infiltrate, especially in areas with frequent temperature fluctuations.

🔴 Seams and Fastener Issues-
