Lamos Landscaping is Hiring – Future Crew Leader Wanted

Lamos Landscaping is growing, and I’m looking for an experienced landscape professional to join the team.

I’m not looking for someone who just wants another job; I’m looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, and wants the opportunity to grow with a company that’s working to get to the next level.

What I’m looking for:
• Previous landscaping or lawn maintenance experience (required)
• Ability to safely operate commercial mowing and landscape equipment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Someone who communicates well with customers and represents the company professionally

This position has room for advancement. As Lamos Landscaping continues to grow, my goal is to develop the right person into a crew leader and eventually help them take on greater responsibility and leadership within the company.

If you’re looking for a place where your experience will be valued and your hard work can lead to real opportunities, I’d love to talk with you.

Send me a message or email your experience/resume to learn more.

Cold Weather Coming This Week – A Heads Up for Florida Landscapes

We have a cold snap coming this week, and locally we haven’t seen temperatures like this in quite some time. While the cold won’t last long, sudden drops in temperature can catch plants off guard here in Florida.

Here are a few simple steps you can take now to help protect your landscape:

Water before the cold arrives
Watering earlier in the day helps insulate plant roots. Moist soil holds heat better than dry soil when temperatures drop overnight.

Cover cold-sensitive plants
Tropical plants, annuals, and recently planted shrubs are the most vulnerable. Use frost cloth, sheets, or light blankets. Make sure covers reach the ground to trap warmth, and avoid plastic touching the leaves.

Add or refresh mulch
Mulch helps regulate soil temperature and protects root systems during colder nights.

Hold off on pruning
If plants show cold damage, avoid pruning right away. Damaged growth helps protect the plant until warmer weather returns.

Skip fertilizing for now
Cold weather slows plant growth. Fertilizing during this time can encourage tender new growth that is more susceptible to damage.

Cold snaps like this are usually short-lived here, but a little preparation goes a long way. If you have questions about how specific plants in your yard may be affected, feel free to reach out.
