Another Finished Basement Transformation!

This customer had an outdated finished basement that was ready for a complete makeover!

We started by removing the old drywall and upgrading the insulation. We also relocated some windows and doors to create a more functional layout with better options for furniture placement.

To brighten up the space, we installed recessed ceiling lighting and new luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring by Karndean, a durable and attractive flooring option that's perfect for basements.

We also added a brand-new bathroom and completely rebuilt the old, squeaky staircase.

The result is a brighter, more comfortable, and modern living space that the homeowners can enjoy for years to come!

Thinking about remodeling your basement? Let K&M Building & Remodeling help you make the most of your space!

Just finished another bathroom remodel!

This one was a little different, with a great mix of modern finishes and Old World style. We used two types of glass tile in the shower, installed in a herringbone pattern, and paired them with gold trim and fixtures throughout. The bathroom also features a glass shower enclosure and a beautiful gloss wood-grain vanity.

To finish the look, the medicine cabinet and light fixtures bring in more of an Old World feel, creating a unique blend of classic and contemporary design.

Winter is coming, and that makes it a great time to tackle those indoor DIY projects you've been putting off!

Now is the time to start planning. Make your project list, take measurements, figure out what materials you'll need, and get everything ready before the cold weather keeps you indoors.

Some great winter DIY projects include painting a room, replacing trim or molding, updating cabinet hardware, installing shelving, refreshing a bathroom, changing light fixtures, or finally finishing those little repairs around the house.

Our advice? Start small, have all your materials before you begin, and don't tear apart three rooms at once!

And if that "simple weekend project" turns out to be a little more than you bargained for, K&M Building is always here to help.

We just finished up this little water damage repair for a customer whose drain leaked into their kitchen ceiling. We removed all the damage plaster and built a new chase to hide the pipe that needed to be rerouted to the basement.
We removed all of the wallpaper, installed new drywall, and painted the entire kitchen.

Looks like nothing ever happened!
