Hey everyone,
Quick update and a little transparency.
This picture was taken right after I woke up from hernia surgery — at that moment, I was actually feeling pretty good 😅 Fast forward a bit… and now it feels like a locomotive hit my stomach at full speed. Turns out I wasn’t quite as strong as I thought I was in that picture.
The surgery went well, but reality has set in: I’ll be out of commission for physical work until spring, and I’ll need a few weeks before I’m back out providing estimates so I can heal properly and come back at full strength.
Over the winter months, I’ll still be:
Answering messages and calls
Talking through projects
Scheduling work for spring
If you’re thinking about a project for the upcoming season, now’s a great time to reach out so we can get you on the schedule.
A quick reflection:
I don’t always know when to stop grinding, and my body’s “check engine” light has been blinking for a while now. Sometimes the Lord steps in and makes me rest. As Psalm 23:2 says, “He makes me lie down in green pastures…”, and Psalm 29:11 reminds us, “The Lord gives strength to His people” — which shows me the strength was never mine to begin with. Right now, trusting His timing and letting my body heal is the strongest move I can make, so I can come back ready for the next season of work.
