Bosch is seriously stepping up their game! 🔥❄️

Got our hands on one of the new 5-ton Bosch IDS Edge heat pumps today, and these things are impressive!

Bosch’s newest Edge lineup brings a completely different look to their inverter systems with a sleek dual-fan, side-discharge design and some serious technology behind it.

Variable-speed inverter compressor, R-454B refrigerant, advanced cold-climate heating capabilities, and up to 18 SEER2 efficiency across the lineup. The Edge and Edge Max are bringing even more versatility to Bosch’s growing heat pump family.

One of my favorite parts of this industry is watching the technology evolve and getting to work with equipment that continues to raise the bar.

There’s a lot more to an HVAC installation than setting a piece of equipment. The little details, proper setup, and craftsmanship are what make the difference.

Sometimes the hardest part of a furnace replacement is figuring out what the last installer was thinking 😂

This A-coil was suspended from the rafters and had roughly 30 screws holding the bottom of the coil cabinet to the furnace. Needless to say, getting the old furnace out turned into a little more of a project than expected.

Don’t worry though… we made sure to leave an equally horrid surprise for the next HVAC guy. 😂

Wrapped up a multi-zone LG mini split install on this A-frame home! We kept the exterior looking clean with line hide running neatly along the front of the house.

And of course, no job is complete without a surprise… found a nearly 6-foot-long snake skin hanging out in the basement rafters. 🐍😂 Never know what you’re going to find in this trade!

Tore out the entire existing system in all of the ductwork ran a solid pipe as my trunk line. All new short flex runs and the system is working way better than it was prior.

Loose electrical connections can turn into BIG problems. ⚡️🔥

Found a loose high-voltage connection at the contactor causing intermittent contact and excessive heat. The wire got hot enough to melt the insulation and nearly weld the terminal screw in place.

This is exactly why routine HVAC maintenance and electrical inspections matter. A small loose connection can quickly turn into a failed system or serious electrical hazard.

HVAC techs, what are your thoughts on this one? 👀

Remodeled building, roughly 1,500 sq. ft. with four 9k BTU Pioneer heads split between two outdoor units. Systems have reportedly been running for months.

Indoor temp is around 70°F, but humidity will NOT come down. I’m seeing 71–77% RH throughout the building. Indoor heads are sweating heavily and even the insulated refrigerant lines are condensating.

Filters, coils and blower wheels have some drywall dust from construction. Building has also had contractors coming and going, doors opening, etc.

What are you guys thinking? Oversized equipment/not enough latent removal? Construction moisture/infiltration? Something else?
