Yesterday January 5th a local hero was laid to rest. He didnt wear a cape. He wore a vest and a badge. He went to work to serve and protect his community two weeks ago, just as he did every day, only this time he made the ultimate sacrifice. In his final moments he did what he could to save the lives of others in danger.
We thank you for your service Sir. We stand behind your family, friends and all of your Brothers and Sisters in Blue.
This week we challenge you. Yes you. The person reading this. Our Law Enforcement officers go out daily to protect everyone and are put into constant danger. They run towards as others are running away. Friday January 9th is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Show your local LEOs that you appreciate them. Make a donation in honor of a fallen officer, drop off lunch to the department, bring a box of coffee, buy the officers order while you sit in the starbucks line. A simple "Thank you" costs nothing.
Maybe you didnt know Cpl Snook, so do it for Cpl Ballard, or Cpl Heacook and the countless others who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
