THE SCALE IS ONLY ONE SIGNAL. READ THE TREND.
For firefighters, police officers, paramedics, military personnel, and the support teams behind them, body composition can provide useful context beyond scale weight.
An InBody 580 scan may help track trends in fat mass, skeletal muscle, visceral-fat indicators, segmental balance, and body water. But it is an estimate; not a diagnosis or a standalone measure of health.
Hydration, timing, food, exercise, and device differences can affect readings. For meaningful comparisons, use the same device, follow standardized testing conditions, and focus on trends rather than one result.
Interpret body-composition data alongside blood pressure, lipids, glucose, A1C, insulin-resistance markers, and physician review. Men’s and women’s health genetic testing may be considered separately through appropriate clinical guidance; it does not replace current biomarkers or medical evaluation.
Responsible data review can support informed conversations about sustainable career longevity and operational readiness; without promising outcomes.
