A little small business reality…
Small businesses are doing everything to keep your cost low and still provide the great service you expect.
This business runs on fuel. A LOT of fuel.
To fill just one of our dump trucks is costing us almost $200 more per fill-up than it did at the beginning of the year.
Our regular trucks are costing roughly $75 more per fill-up than they were a year ago.
Then add the mowers, skid steers, excavators, loaders, and every other piece of equipment we run.
For a big corporation, that might just be another number on a spreadsheet.
For a small business, it matters.
We don’t have hundreds of trucks or millions of customers to spread those increases across. Every extra dollar for fuel, insurance, materials, equipment, and payroll comes directly out of a small local business trying to keep its doors open, keep good people employed, and continue taking care of its customers.
We’re doing everything we can to work smarter, run efficient routes, and keep our prices as reasonable as we possibly can.
So when you see your local landscaper, contractor, farmer, plumber, electrician, or any other small business adjusting to rising costs — give them a little grace.
We’re all trying to do the same thing:
Take care of our employees.
Take care of our customers.
Take care of our families.
And keep a small business moving forward.
Thank you for continuing to support small and local. 🇺🇸
